Here are a few things that we have learned about the impact of
spaying and neutering and the effect that it has on dogs in social
situations.
Intact males unfortunately exhibit characteristics such as
humping, urinating on everything in sight and they consistently seem to invite
aggression from other dogs. An intact male can make a group of docile dogs
become a group of problem dogs, and we choose to not accommodate this dynamic.
Un-neutered dogs under 6 months are welcome at Rover’s Ranch.
So what does this mean for you and your dogs? Well if you want to board with us,
it means this:
-
We will accept all dogs for boarding; however, in order to
participate in playgroups, ALL dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed
or neutered. If your dog is not spayed or neutered, your dog will be granted
playtime just not in a playgroup.
